:: Festival Re-Cap: How Ms Dockville Hamburg 2017 was like - Anh Dinh

2017 had a lot of great adventures up its sleeve for me and so far only few of them made it to the blog. As the year is coming to an end I would like to share some of the highlights with you. Before I will smash a huge monster recap up here on December 30th, a few special travel memories will get places of honor.

Let’s start with the weekend in Hamburg that I got to experience together with the marketing department of the harbor city. Wow, the Berlin girl finally got to get to know another German city. The occasion for which they invited me was the Ms Dockville festival which took place at a location maybe 30 minutes from the city center.

2017 hatte ganz schön viele tolle Erlebnisse im Gepäck und bisher haben es leider nur wenige auf den Blog geschafft. Zum Jahresende möchte ich also noch einmal die Highlights mit euch teilen. Bevor ich euch am 30.Dezember einen Monster Rückblick hin klatsche, bekommen besondere Reise Erinnerungen ein paar Ehrenplätze.

Fangen wir also mit meinem Wochenende in Hamburg an, dass ich zusammen mit der Marketingabteilung der wunderschönen Hafen Stadt erleben durfte. Wow, die Berlinerin lernt endlich auch mal eine andere deutsche Stadt kennen. Anlass der Reise Einladung war das Ms Dockville Festival, dass an dem Wochenende auf einem Gelände etwa 30 Minuten außerhalb der Innenstadt statt fand.

So it was a small city festival? Not at all! The things Ms Dockville had to offer was really impressive. Not only a line up of acts like Flume, Moderat, SSIO and Yung Hurn but also a huge selection of food and sponsor booths decked the place. Therefore after the optionally traditional festival treat of a “Handbrot”, I was able to go off to the Chanel booth. If this festival wasn’t made for me, what is?
During the breaks I would dance through rainbow hallways and get inspired by the colors and shapes on the meadow…no, not what you think! They actually had a lot of amazing art installations spread over the festival grounds and I particularly fell in love with the rainbow hallway.

Ein kleines Stadtfestival also? Auf gar keinen Fall! Was das Ms Dockville zu bieten hatte, war ganz schön beeindruckend. Neben einem Line-Up mit u.a. Flume, Moderat, SSIO und Yung Hurn, war das Festivalgelände geschmückt mit einer großen Auswahl an Essensständen und Sponsoren Buden. Nach dem optional traditionellem Festival Handbrot, ging es also rüber zum Chanel Stand. Dieses Festival ist wie für mich gemacht. In den Pausen tanzte ich durch Regenbogen Gänge und ließ mich von den bunten Farben und Formen auf der Wiese inspirieren… Nein, nicht was ihr denkt. Auf verschiedenen Freiflächen gab es tolle Kunst Installationen. Der Regenbogen Gang war nunmal mein Liebling.

Afterwards we would dance into through the evenings and into the nights and eat even more or watch drunk people tumbling or even sliding down a muddy little hill. The funniest pastime ever! It rained a bit but that was just a small matter next to all the fun.

All in all I really loved the unique diversity of Ms Dockville, that nevertheless did not miss out on any festival traditions. See you soon Hamburg!

Und dann wurde in den Abend und in die Nacht rein getanzt und noch mehr gegessen. Nebenbei konnten wir schadenfroh den betrunkenen Menschen zusehen, wie sie hilflos einen matschigen Hügel runter taumelten oder gar runter rutschten. Ein bisschen geregnet hat es nämlich auch, aber eine kleine Nebensache bei all dem Spaß.

Im großen Ganzen war es ein tolles Wochenende mit großer Vielfalt inklusive aller Festival Traditionen. Bis ganz bald liebes Hamburg!
